This page has nothing to do about surface design, but it is everything about Gwenann Dollye. I realized I could not have a website without sharing THE most important part of my life and explain to you how you can have HOPE.

HOPE, what is it? Webster defines it as a "feeling" of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. The Bible defines it as the confidence and assurance in "knowing" that God will fulfill his promises, based on who he is and what he has already done for all of us.

What has God done for us? Why do I put my hope in him? Well, the book of Romans explains it really well:

We all do the wrong thing sometimes (sin) -

Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

Because God created us with the ability to make our own choices and decisions, we don't always do the right thing.

Our sin separates us from God, who is holy and results in our death -

Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Christ is the solution -

Romans 5:8 - "But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

John 3:16 - Jesus says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

"Us" means YOU! ME! Everyone! Christ died to pay for our sins, in our place.

What do we need to do? Accept his free gift! -

Romans 10:9 - "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Admit to God that you are a sinner and that you believe that he sent his son, Jesus, to die and who was raised to life again, for you to be made right with him.

Jesus saves us! -

Romans 10:13 - "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

The result - peace with God!

Romans 5:1 - "Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."

Living in the Spirit -

Romans 8:1 - "There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."

That's it. That's how I have hope. Hope for today. Hope for the future. Hope for eternity with God. Hope in knowing that God is in control, and everything will be for the good in the end. Now, I know life is hard and really awful things happen. But that is just for a short time. When we are with God in eternity - all will be made right again. Until then, we have life with Christ, the Father, and the Holy Spirit to guide us, comfort us, and grow closer to daily.
